Dr. Paul Reuteman, PT, DPT, ATC, OCS

Dr. Paul Reuteman PT, DPT, OCS, ATC is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Program of Physical Therapy at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse.  His primary teaching responsibilities include musculoskeletal examination and intervention principles, clinical-decision making principles and clinical radiology.  He maintains an active clinical practice at Gundersen Lutheran Sports Medicine where he also serves as faculty of the Sports Physical Therapy Residency Program.

Dr. Reuteman graduated from the program of Physical Therapy at Marquette University and is a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist from the ABPTS and is a board-certified Athletic Trainer from the NATA. Dr. Reuteman is the co-founder of Specialized Physical Therapy Education and serves as Faculty and a Lead Instructor of their Orthopedic Residency Program.

Dr. Matt Haberl, PT, DPT, OCS, ATC, CSCS, FAAOMPT

Dr. Matt Haberl, DPT, OCS, ATC, CSCS, FAAOMPT is physical therapist at Dynamic Physical Therapy.  He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in 2008 and completed his orthopedic residency and Manual Therapy Fellowship with Evidence in Motion in 2010. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic and Manual Physical Therapists.  He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in Athletic Training at Simpson College in Indianola, IA in 2004. His primary interests are in providing evidence based medicine in the areas of sports medicine and manual therapy.

Dr. Ryan Sharpee, PT, DPT, OCS

Dr. Ryan Sharpee, PT, DPT, OCS is an orthopedic physical therapist for UW Health at the American Center in Madison, WI. Ryan graduated from the UW - La Crosse Physical Therapy program in 2013 and completed his orthopedic residency through SPTE in 2015. Ryan is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist since 2016. Ryan treats an variety of patients with orthopedic conditions with focus on evidence based practice and manual therapy.

Dr. Josh Bruner, PT, DPT, OCS

Dr. Josh Bruner, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS is a full-time physical therapist at The Orthopedic Institute at Southwest Health in Platteville, WI. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2014. Dr. Bruner completed an orthopedic residency with Specialized Physical Therapy Education in 2017. In 2010, he received his undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse.

He is currently a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and holds a certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Josh has also received additional training in analyzing and treating movement impairments as a certified performance specialist. His primary interests are providing evidence-based practice and manual therapy in the areas of sports medicine and orthopedic injuries. He also has experience in implementing sports performance programs for high school and collegiate athletes, as he spent time working as a strength and conditioning coach for Auburn University’s football program.

Clinic mentors

Dr. Hanni Cowley, PT, DPT, SCS

Dr. Hanni Cowley, PT, DPT, SCS graduated from UW-L in 2004 with her Masters in PT. She completed Gundersen Lutheran Sports Residency program in the summer of 2006. Hanni continued to work at Gundersen Lutheran Sports Medicine form 2006-2010. Her job was a combination of clinical practice, research in the area of lower extremity biomechanics, and assisted at UW-L as adjunct faculty in orthopedic and research classes. In 2007 she received her transitional Doctorate from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.

Hanni currently lives in Arcadia, WI provides both PT services and Wellness services. An area of interest, is providing fitness programs to patients that have medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, chronic pain etc. 

Curt Riley, DPT, OCS, CMTPT

Curt Riley, DPT, OCS, CMTPT is a full-time staff Physical Therapist at Marshfield Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, WI where he works as part of an interdisciplinary pain program.  He graduated from Carroll University Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2009 and received his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist Certification in 2012.  He received his dry needling certification through Myopain Seminars in 2013 and recently completed his Therapeutic Pain Specialist certification through International Spine and Pain Institute.   Areas of clinical specialty include providing evidenced based medicine related to treating chronic pain disorders with an emphasis on spinal conditions and work place injuries.

Dr. Erik Meyer, DPT, MS, OCS

Dr. Erik Meyer, DPT, MS, CSCS graduated from Franklin Pierce University in 2012 with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy.  Prior to that he graduated with his MS in Human Performance from University of Wisconsin –La Crosse. Erik currently works at Beaver Dam Community Hospital as a full-time outpatient physical therapist and outpatient lead for the rehab department.  Erik completed the SPTE Orthopedic Residency in 2017. Erik graduated with a BA in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Coaching from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2006. Erik’s primary clinical interests are evidence based manual and movement therapy for athletes and active populations.

Dr. Amanda Hodel, DPT, OCS, ATC

Amanda Hodel, DPT, OCS, ATC is a full-time staff Physical Therapist at Marshfield Clinic Oakwood Center in Eau Claire, WI.  She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in 2010. Amanda became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist in 2014.  She received her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in Athletic Training at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2007.  Her primary areas of interest are providing patient care in orthopedics, sports medicine and manual therapy.  Amanda is pursuing a Certificate of Achievement in Pregnancy and Postpartum Physical Therapy and will also be working towards a Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Health through the APTA.  She is a certified Clinical Instructor and also mentors residents during their Orthopedic Residency Program.
