Payment is refundable at 25% of full amount up to 30 days before the course. Course Description: Emerging evidence continues to support the utilization of dry needling techniques in improving pain and function in patients with a variety of diagnoses. In this course we will discuss and demonstrate various methods in how to use a needle as an extension of a practitioner’s hands in facilitating the reduction of pain and dysfunction in patients with general neuro-musculoskeletal disorders. Instruction focuses first on recognizing the different theoretical paradigms behind the use of a dry needle complimented with the clinical reasoning and decision making behind how to safely and effectively use the needle within your patient care. Using a multi-modal approach to patient care, participants will be able to integrate the use of dry needling into their current practice patterns immediately following this course. Approach: This course is delivered in a lecture and lab-based format, combining pre-course readings, viewings and on-site learning experiences to facilitate participant learning. Pre-course readings and viewings are provided to participants 30 days in advance of an intensive on-site laboratory training session. Pre-course readings will include a post assessment evaluation prior to onsite training to ensure universal basic knowledge of safe and effective techniques. On-site objectives will reinforce pre-course materials and investigate the therapeutic effects, mechanisms, safety and legal issues involved with dry needling. A 2-day onsite lab intensive schedule is designed to satisfy the training requirements of most state practice acts (Participants are responsible for knowing their practice act requirements). All participants will receive hands-on demonstration and practice of selected DN. Cancellation Policy

SPTE Cancellation / Refund Policy: I recognize that once I have completed registration and payment has been received I have secured a position in one of our courses. In the instance of unforeseen circumstances where the course or I am unable to attend my course I recognize Specialized Physical Therapy Education, LLC (SPTE) Cancellation and Refund Policy. Participant Cancellation and Registration Fees: - If a registrant is unable to attend a course or is requesting reimbursement for course registration that individual is responsible for providing written notification to SPTE staff (spteducation@gmail.com) within 7 days of the course date. Any request submitted after 7 days will not receive a refund for their course fees. - Registrants that do not provide notification or do not attend the course will forfeit their course registration fee. Refund Policy - All course registration fee’s are final at purchase. Participant Cancellation: - Registrants who provide notification at least 7 days prior to the course date can receive one of the following: - Course reimbursement minus a 20% cancellation fee - One-time course credit transfer valid for any other SPTE course of equal value within the next 12 months. - If a participant transfers their credit to another course their ability to utilize the refund policy will be forfeited for the second course. - Transfer of course fees to another participant. Written confirmation from both participant for transfer is required. Course Cancellation: - SPTE sets forth a commitment to host all intended courses however we do reserve the right to cancel a course due to unforeseen or avoidable circumstances. SPTE is not responsible for any additional expenses of the registrant (travel expenses etc.) - Low Enrollment: In the case where a course is cancelled due to low enrollment registrants will be notified via email that they can either: - Transfer their credit to another course within 12 months of original course date - Receive a full refund for their course registration. SPTE is not responsible for any additional outside registrant expenses. - Inclement weather or other circumstances beyond SPTE’s control: SPTE will seek to reschedule the course in a timely fashion and notify current registrants of the new date. Registrants will have 10 days to notify SPTE if they are unable to attend the rescheduled course date, In the instance a registrant is unable to attend they can receive one of the following: - Receive a 50% refund of course registration fee - One-time course credit transfer valid for any other SPTE course of equal value within the next 12 months. If a participant transfers their credit to another course their ability to utilize the refund policy will be forfeited for the second course. Transfer of course fees to another participant. Written confirmation from both participant for transfer is required. - Registrants who do not notify SPTE of their inability to attend will forfeit their course registration fees. - If SPTE is unable to reschedule the course participants can receive one of the following: - 50% of their course registration fees - One-time course credit transfer valid for any other SPTE course of equal value within the next 12 months. If a participant transfers their credit to another course their ability to utilize the refund policy will be forfeited for the second course.
